Objective: The study aims were to investigate whether mindfulness predicts improved work ability after a multifactorial vocational rehabilitation program in Norway and to examine the mediating influence of mindfulness in the relationship between personal health factors and changes in work ability in response to the program. This empirical research explores the perceptions and attitudes of employers in hiring and retaining people with borderline intellectual functioning (BIF). Berufliche Rehabilitation nach Laryngektomie

Ziel dieser Studie war es herauszufinden, wie viele Patienten nach einer Laryngektomie (LE) erfolgreich ins Berufsleben zuruckkehren und welche Faktoren eine berufliche Wiedereingliederung unterstutzen. Laryngektomierte (n=231) im Alter von bis zu 60 Jahren wurden vor der LE (t1), vor der Anschlussheilbehandlung (AHB) (t2), am Ende der AHB (t3), 1 Jahr nach LE (t4), 2 Jahre nach LE (t5) und 3 Jahre nach LE (t6) mithilfe von strukturierten Interviews und Fragebogen befragt. Objective: The aim of the present study was to compare responders and nonresponders in terms of work ability (WA) to a multidisciplinary vocational rehabilitation program (MVRP) in Norway. Methods: The WA of 74 participants was tested at baseline and in the final week of a 4–6-week intervention. The participants whose WA increased were defined as WA-responders, whereas participants with no increases or with decreases in their WA after the intervention were defined as WA-nonresponders. Background and aim: In Norway, a large part of the population is dependent on disability benefits. The main reasons for this are related to long-term musculoskeletal pain and psychological complaints. Prevocational rehabilitation, aimed at increasing participation in working life, targets people in need of a sheltered vocational environment.
